Wayne Paul Morris, 61, also known as Blue Wayne, of Worcester, passed away Saturday March 28, 2015 in the Rose Monahan Hospice.
He leaves his wife of 31 years, Donna E. (Doten) Morris, a nephew, Clifford G. Morris, III, his in-laws, Ruth and James Doten of North Carolina; his brothers-in-law, Stephen and Glenn, aunts, uncles and cousins and his cat Jasper. He was predeceased by his brother, Clifford G. Morris, Jr., and his cats, Bill the cat and Moo Cow cat. He was born in Worcester, a son of the late Clifford G. Morris, Sr., and Alberta (Lamorey) Morris and lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of North High School, class of 1972.
Mr. Morris worked in Building Environment Services many years for the University of Massachusetts Medical School and retired in 2006. Before then he worked for Commonwealth Stationers. Many years ago he was a cook at the El Morocco and the Italian Kitchen. He was a member of the Brown Square Civic Club and enjoyed the annual trip to Saratoga. He also loved going to Old Orchard Beach. Wayne was an avid sports fan and loved to walk. Mr. & Mrs. Morris would have observed their 31st wedding anniversary on March 31.
Calling hours for Wayne will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA., 01606.
